I had a consultation with Spectrum in France. As a former Financial adviser my self I found that they only deal with a very limited range of companies.
They are not what I would call a true IFA. The number of companies they have connections with are only around five or six. That severely limits their professional advice. An IFA should have access to the whole range of suitable products.
My advice? Find some one else and check how many companies they deal with before investing. Upon asking why they felt they were IFAs I was told that was enough.
Not in my book it isn't. I would suggest using a search engine to specify that you require a real IFA
